Launching an e-commerce brand to the UK market

Pawbo is a leader in the world of pet tech, producing a large range of connected devices to monitor and play with your pets from anywhere, using just your phone.

Pawbo already had a large following in Asia, but with a desire to launch to UK consumers, Wonderbean were recruited to launch the products and build brand awareness  to a new market of pet lovers.

 

Project summary

Pawbo is one of the many brands owned by global technology firm Acer. We worked with their team in Taiwan to build the profile of the Pawbo brand in the UK, following it’s success in Asian markets.

The Strategy

Whilst Acer is a household name, their size comes at a cost when it comes to the speed of implementing online changes. A full audit of the customer experience, digital channels and branding would usually be the first step for digital projects, but in order to get the Pawbo name out there as quickly as possible, our team acted fast to:

 

  • Recruit loyal brand ambassadors using an automated Facebook Bot
  • Drive pet lovers to the website and Amazon to purchase
  • Retarget on-the-fence customers to encourage sales
  • Quickly scale the social media following using organic growth techniques
  • Sign Still Moving Media to produce new video adverts to show how the products work in real life

Proven Results

By the end of the 90 launch campaign, Pawbo had recruited a team of pet mad ambassadors to help promote the brand with genuine, real-life content; dramatically grown their social media following across Facebook and Instagram; seen a marked rise in branded Google searches; and had most importantly started to build an attractive, respectable and consistent brand across all platforms within the UK – ready for the roll out of an extended product range to the UK and European market.
